Project # 1
Project:  Color correct, airbrush, and perfect a photo (headshot) using Photoshop
Software used:  Adobe Photoshop
Skills obtained during project:  Adobe Photoshop:  heal brush, color correction (curves, color balance, levels), selection tools.


Project # 2
Project:  Create a TV standard "Lower Third" from scratch (to learn Adobe Photoshop)
Software used:  Adobe Photoshop
Skills obtained during project:  Adobe Photoshop:  creating text layers, understanding layers, layer styles (stroke, drop shadow, outer glow, bevel, etc.), creating shapes, understanding selection tools, creating custom gradients and use them as an overlay in text.

Project # 3
Project:  Using ENG Camera technique video your partner introducing a segment for YAS TV.  Use basic edit techniques to digitize your video on the AVID editing system. Use your "Lower Third" in the final video.
Software used:  Canon Camera, Boris Red (3D graphics software), AVID Editing
Skills obtained during project:  Understanding how to work the basics of a Video Camera (Canon camera), setting white, focus, exposure, zoom, composition.  Learning the basic Editing Techniques on AVID (digitizing the video from the camera, understanding bins, clips, sequences, creating a sequence, applying a third party plug-in effect (Boris), rendering.  Boris Red used in applying the "lower third" onto the video.
