The Filmmaking Program is a division of the Young Actors Studio™!  This year we celebrate 26 years of teaching youth filmmaking. Our outstanding program is recognized by the nation’s top film schools like NYU, USC, and UCLA. We have a 100% success rate in getting our students accepted into these top film schools based on our excellent reputation and recommendation letters.

Members of the Filmmaking Program (also known as “Teen Producers”) learn the following:

• HD Digital Cinematography (Camera)
• Lighting
• Sound
• Editing (using both AVID and Final Cut Pro)
• Directing
• Screenplay writing
• Digital Graphics
• Web Design

The filmmaking program at the Young Actors Studio™ purpose is to expose youth to the behind the scenes of the TV and Film industry through educational hands-on labs, guest industry workshops, instructional classes, and internship program.

The filmmaking program is for youth ages 12 and up.  Some exceptions may be made by the program director.
